Congratulations are due to David Sharp, a member of Menstrie Community Council, who has been awarded today a British Empire Medal in the Queen's Birthday Honours List, the issue of which was postponed from its usual date in June to allow those, like David whose award is for services to Clackmannanshire during the current Covid crisis, to be included. David will receive his award from the Lord-Lieutenant on a later date at a ceremony locally.
We must also send congratulations to Lord-Lieutenant Lt Colonel Johnny Stewart who has been awarded the Lieutenancy of the Victorian Order (LVO) on standing down after 10 years as Adjutant to the Royal Company of Archers, the Monarch's personal bodyguard in Scotland.
