Queen's Award for Voluntary Service presented to Breathe Easy

IMG_7116.JPG
After a very long wait due to the Covid restrictions, the Lord-Lieutenant Johnny Stewart was delighted to be able to present the Queen's Award for Voluntary Service for 2020 to Breathe Easy Clackmannanshire.
Local Chair Linda McLeod, who herself received a BEM just a few years ago for her individual contribution to this hugely worthy cause, received the engraved crystal and Certificate signed by Her Majesty the Queen at an outdoor ceremony this afternoon at Gartmorn Dam. Johnny Stewart paid tribute to the magnificent work which this group does and also took the time to acknowledge the incalculable contribution which all voluntary groups have made in the County during the pandemic.
The home made scones and cakes and tea and coffee brought the ceremony to a suitably enjoyable end. The image shows the presentation at the Breathe Easy picnic bench with Linda and the other members of the group who were able to join in the celebration.
