First Clackmannanshire Community Champion Awarded

CTSI2.jpg
Lord-Lieutenant Johnny Stewart had the pleasure of attending tonight at the Cochrane Hall in Alva the annual CTSI awards evening, the culmination of Volunteers week.
He introduced to the packed hall Sophie Allan and Janis McTaggart who had both received Coronation Champions certificates signed by the King and Queen, two of only 500 people across the whole of the United Kingdom who had done so.
He then introduced all of the nominees in the new Clackmannanshire Community Champion category which has taken over from the former Citizen of the Year Award. The inaugural winner was Kenny Quinn of Forth Valley Men's Shed, based in Alloa. The attached photos show the two Coronations Champions with the Lord-Lieutenant and then Johnny Stewart with Kenny Quinn. Musical entertainment was proved by the truly magnificent Clackmannan Brass Band and the buffet by Alva Development Trust.
