Deputy Lieutenant Anne Spruce was delighted to attend on September 30th the home, in Alva, of George and Sandra Calder who were celebrating their Diamond Wedding Anniversary. It was a surprise visit for the happy couple who were also joined by Deputy Provost Donald Balsillie and members of their family when George and Sandra were presented with the Anniversary Message from her Majesty the Queen and a floral acknowledgement from the Council.
It was good to be able to attend the home of a celebrating couple once again after all of the restrictions which Covid had imposed.
