Lord-Lieutenant Johnny Stewart had the pleasure of presenting the award to the Citizen of the Year Mary Laing at a very pleasant ceremony earlier this evening at Arndean. Mary was joined by other volunteers from the Alva Development Trust as well as her family and Sandra Rees of the Alva Community Council.
Johnny was full of praise for the work done by all at the ADT and was fulsome in his support for its contribution to the lives of so many in the Wee County. Light refreshments were served and enjoyed before the presentation took place. The photo shows Mary receiving her Award outside on the steps with her friends and family.
