The 15th Annual Citizen of the Year ceremony took place on Tuesday 5th March in the Speirs Centre in Alloa. The main winner was Alex Harvey who received the coveted award from Lord-Lieutenant Johnny Stewart, having beaten off the competition from Alan Faulds, Marion Levett and Denise Moffat and Adrian Tobin.
Alex masterminded the creation and maintenance of the school garden at Park Primary School in the town, helping to create a quiet yet safe place for pupils to help them gain access to outdoor learning activities.
In addition to these outdoor activities, Mr Harvey also runs gardening and chess clubs and supports many school outings and trips.
